NEW Optimist adjustable maststep with reinforced cup. This cup is improved (vs EX1202) in several key areas to make it more durable:

The base and the round part of the cup are both thicker, increasing from 1.5 mm to 2 mm.
The weld between the cup and the threaded section has been made thicker.
Note: this reinforced maststep (cup) weighs 30 grams more than the existing one.

The good news is that the new cup will fit all of the old base plates already mounted in boats, making this a simple upgrade.
